Student Twinning Ceremony – 8TH May 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On a beautiful and sunny Friday 8th<\/sup> May 2026, a special flag was hoisted from the east tower of Victoria College and flown over St Helier.  The huge bright green flag bore the significant words \u201cSalvatorkolleg\u201d and represented a new era in the twinning between St Helier and the German town of Bad Wurzach. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

An unveiling ceremony was held in Victoria College representing the student twinning of VCJ with the Salvatorkolleg in Germany.  The brainchild of VCJ Headmaster Dr Gareth Hughes and James Wooldridge, the College\u2019s librarian and archivist (whose mother Hazel had been interned in the internee camp for nearly 3 years), this project promises to see the younger generation enter into closer ties with St Helier\u2019s twin town, including mutual cultural, artistic and sports visits. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We wish both colleges much luck and viel Gl\u00fcck<\/em><\/strong> in their future endeavours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
