This years Liberation memorial service and afternoon teas was again held at the War Tunnels attended by the Bailiff and his wife.
The Memorial Service, was held once again on the terrace of the tea room so shelter could be had if needed, a special thanks must go to Francelise Davidson who stood in at the last minute to give an excellent service,
The Youth Theater, for providing the readings, and thanks to Lola for reading and extract from the Liberation,
After the laying of roses we adjourned to the Café for tea, once again under the management of Darren of Mange Tout provided all teas and coffees provided.
We will be attending the family history fayre at the Jersey Library on Friday 19th January and Saturday 20th January 2018.
We will be holding our 2017 Remembrance service and tea on Sunday 12th November 2017
The service will commence at 15.00 at the Internee memorial in the Howard Davis park, the service will be conducted by Father Nick Barry.
We will then go to the Merton Hotel for an afternoon tea.
We will be holding a short service in the garden of remembrance at the Jersey War tunnels, this will be followed by the laying of roses at the individual memorial stones of those who did not return. This will be followed by a cream tea in the Jersey War Tunnels Café.
The Service and Ceremony will commence at 15.00, and the Tea at 16.00.

It is with a heavy heart that we have been informed that former internee Micheal Ginns has died, he attended all our return visits to Bad Wurzach, his tireless work in reconciliation with Bad Wurzach and with the Partnerschaft will be greatly missed, he has left a wonderful legacy.

Volunteers had two interesting days at the Local History Fayre, meeting many interesting people and answering many questions.
